The Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peel has downtime, about a solid week. During the week of the peel, you will have downtime that is on par with a strong laser resurfacing treatment.
In contract to laser, the Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peel is the only peel that delivers results like a laser, for example CO2, but unlike laser, this peel does not carry the same risks.

How to prepare for the peel:
This is discussed during the consult and varies per person.
The peel process.
Day 1: Come into the office for the first day application. Here, we will cleanse and prep your skin for the peel and then apply the peel. This peel sits on your skin for 2 hours. During this time, we keep you on the colder side, with a fan, you can nap, we can play your favorite music or you can listen to an audio book.
Day 2: We repeat Day 1.
Day 3 - 7: Skin will start with some redness, some swelling before become dry and mask like. The skin will darken and skin damage will also darken and become very visible. Peeling will be significant but painless.
Day 7-9: Varies per client but around this time, you will come back into the spa where we will remove any residual skin, also pain free.
Our peel package includes a post peel facial, about 3 weeks after this prior appointment as well.
How many peels will I need?
For those with heavy damage, heavy discoloration or deep lines, you may want to do two of these peels back to back, or within a single season for optimal results.
Many people get one of these peels per year as a fantastic way to maintain bright, even skin.
Can I do this peel anytime?
This peel can be done all year but is better suited for fall, winter and early spring due to to the lower UV levels. However, we can do this peel during the summer for clients who we know will be hyper vigilant about protecting their skin.
Like any acid peel, this is not safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Other contraindications for this peel can be addressed during the complimentary consult.
