I have tried pretty much everything there is and this peel beats laser, delivering far better results while being safer for all skin colors. Bonus is that this massively helps melasma! We now offer this peel at Skin Memory Spa. Yes, it is that amazing.
Earlier this year, I had a CO2 Cool Laser treatment done. I was pretty excited and looking to resurface my skin for my 50th birthday. I have some sun damage, large pores, scars and was looking for a powerhouse to do heavy work. It was a huge (and COSTLY) let down.
So I went back to square one and started talking to friends at Derm offices, asking what other options are available that work! Welcome the Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peel.
It is similar to a laser in a couple ways:
- Downtime. Both a laser and this peel have some downtime - the better part of a week.
- Post treatment routines are pretty similar
- About the same price range per treatment
And that's about it.
Here is where it differs:
- This peel is SAFE for all skin colors (not true for laser)
- This peel is FANTASTIC for melasma (rare for laser - often makes it worse)
- This peel doesn't damage your deeper skin tissue and facial fat (lasers do- the heat from laser has been well documented to damage facial tissue)
But the results this peel deliver are hands down, better than nearly all lasers. One peel delivers amazing results. Two peels and it is like your skin has traveled back in time by decades.
Is this peel for everyone? By and large yes but there are some people which will benefit from it more - meaning those with acne, scars, obvious signs of aging, discoloration, melasma patches.
If you are 30 and your skin is pretty amazing right now, this peel won't deliver such drastic results.
This is a CORRECTIVE peel and if there is not a lot of visible damage to correct, then I would recommend another treatment for you.
Also, for those with rosacea. This would be quite stressful for your skin and I don't personally recommend it. However, the company who produces it says it is fine for rosacea skin, I wouldn't be doing that at Skin Memory Spa.
I will include some images here from my first round of the peel.
First image is a snap shot of the day to day timeline.
Below are more detailed images of my results being pre-peel to day 10 (post-peel)
Lastly, here are some results from others who have done the peel. These results speak for themselves.
