Rebuild. Refine. Restore.
Stretch marks are incredibly common, but that doesn't mean you have to love the way they look or feel.
Whether they appeared during pregnancy, adolescence, significant weight changes, muscle growth, or other periods of rapid change, stretch marks are a unique type of scar. Unlike a surgical scar, which is created by a deliberate incision through the skin, stretch marks develop when the deeper layers of skin are stretched beyond their ability to accommodate the change.
The result is a change in the skin's underlying collagen and elastin structure.
That difference matters.
Why Stretch Marks Need a Different Approach
A post-surgical scar is typically a linear area of concentrated scar tissue created by an incision. Stretch marks, on the other hand, are broader areas of altered dermal tissue where the skin's collagen and elastin architecture has been disrupted.
They may appear as:
- Fine or wide lines
- Depressed or slightly raised areas
- Pink, red, purple, brown, or silvery-white marks
- Areas with a different texture or elasticity than the surrounding skin
Because the underlying skin quality is different, stretch marks require a treatment strategy focused on gradual collagen remodeling and texture refinement, rather than treating them exactly like a surgical scar.
Who Is Stretch Mark Renewal For?
This treatment may be appropriate for adults who are bothered by the appearance or texture of stretch marks following:
- Pregnancy
- Significant weight loss or gain
- Adolescence and growth
- Muscle development
- Body changes over time
Our Approach to Stretch Marks
At Skin Memory Spa, we take a progressive approach to improving the appearance of stretch marks.
Rather than aggressively treating the skin in one session, we gradually increase the intensity of treatment as your skin responds.
Each treatment is customized according to:
- The age of the stretch marks
- Their color and texture
- The depth and width of the marks
- The surrounding skin quality
- Your individual healing response
Before Treatment: Prepare
We begin by preparing the treatment area with cold plasma.
During Treatment: Stimulate
The treatment creates controlled micro-injuries within the skin, stimulating the body's natural wound-healing response and encouraging collagen and elastin remodeling.
Because stretch marks involve altered dermal structure, the goal is to gradually improve the texture, depth, and overall appearance of the treated area.
After Treatment: Support
Following each session, we transition into a recovery-focused treatment using medical-grade LED infrared therapy and microcurrent.
This calming final step is designed to support the skin's recovery environment while helping you transition into a deeply restorative experience.
A Progressive Series
Stretch marks typically require patience.
We recommend beginning with a series of three treatments, generally spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart.
Your first treatment establishes how your skin responds. The second builds upon that response. The third allows us to further refine the treatment based on your progress.
Treatment intensity may gradually increase throughout the series when appropriate for your skin.
We don't chase intensity. We follow your skin.
What Can Stretch Mark Renewal Improve?
Our goal is to make stretch marks less noticeable—not to erase them completely.
With a series of treatments, we aim to improve the appearance of:
- Uneven texture
- Depressed or indented areas
- Fine lines
- Changes in skin density
- Differences in texture between the stretch mark and surrounding skin
Over time, treated areas may appear smoother, more even, and more integrated with the surrounding skin.
Results vary based on the age, depth, location, and characteristics of the stretch marks, as well as individual healing and collagen response.
Newer vs. Mature Stretch Marks
Not all stretch marks are the same.
Newer stretch marks may appear pink, red, purple, or darker than the surrounding skin. These are sometimes called striae rubrae.
Mature stretch marks often become lighter, silvery, or white and may have a more noticeable difference in texture. These are commonly referred to as striae albae.
The age and appearance of your stretch marks help determine how we approach your treatment.
Treatment Information
With our bespoke revision treatment, we create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating a wound-healing response that helps remodel the appearance of stretch marks.
Through this treatment, we will leverage multiple boosters (stem cells and PLLA collagen biostimulators) and modalities such as medical grade LED with infrared, micro-currrent and cold plasma - all to help prep the tissue, manage inflammation post treatment and accelerate healing. There may be some downtime such as peeling and flaking in treatment areas, restrictions on exercise and showering (usually 48 hours). This will be discussed prior to the treatment.
The treatment is sold in package units, 3 sessions, 90 minutes for each session. Aftercare will be provided. Sessions are to be scheduled within 4-6 weeks.
NOTE: After purchasing this package, we will contact you within 48 hours to set up your appointment. If you are not the right candidate for this treatment, we will refund you in full.
